Next Generation Leadership
We just had our recent and wonderful Global Conference (GC) in Kuala Lumpur. It was held in April 20-23. We had a wonderful time. Altogether there were more than 250 leaders from all over the world attending the GC. We touched on the theme of the “Next Generation Leadership and Leaders”. There was great teaching, workshops, preaching, and forums. We tried to cover a lot of topics relevant for the next generation leaders and next generation leadership. We touched on lessons like how to understand leaders of the next generation. We taught them about Gen-Y: their characteristics, how they function, what is on their minds, what things they connect with and their general characteristics. We aim to understand them. We also looked into how we should lead them and how we should continue to disciple them. All of us had a wonderful time together. I heard many reports that the workshops we conducted were excellent. The forums where questions from the floor were answered were also excellent.

Raising up new leadersSo the theme of the GC was about being able to pass the baton to the next generation of leaders. These future leaders are people that we are going to groom today. Therefore, we covered the process of what we need to do in order to rise them up and how to continue to communicate our expectations. We talked about how to pass an entire ministry to the next generation of leaders. To do that, we need to continue to mentor, coach and rise them up so they can be more successful than our generation. Praise God that out of the more 250 people attending, more than half were under 30. This is very exciting. The young leaders have captured the spirit, the vision and the value, and I am confident our current leaders will be able to pass them the baton to help them move forward.
Strategic planning Team (SPT)
Besides the GC, we also had the strategic planning where our international leaders came together. All the leaders are planning to implement six main priorities in the 2011-2015 cycle. These priorities are strengthening and keeping our existing churches healthy, linking together with external apostolic functions, raising the five-fold ministry, how to focus on the current and future leadership, improving our Christian education and the type of ministries and materials we want to develop. It is a huge task but an exciting one. Some of our key leaders are involved in the planning and I am confident that their participation will produce an excellent five-year plan.
Global Conference in Melbourne
I also want to invite you to the Melbourne Global Conference coming up. It will be held from September 30 to October 2. It will be held at Philip Island, Melbourne. The Melbourne team are excitedly preparing for this.
Church growth in HIM
Brothers and sisters, I want to communicate and share with you that wonderful things are happening in our movement. For example, in our entire movement, we have grown from 120-130 churches to over 150 churches. Our global attendance worldwide is over 13,000 people. We have grown in that area as well.
Hope Europe Churches
God is blessing our people, our churches, and our work all over the world. Europe for example, had their recent conventions, conferences and festivals, and I heard there was record attendance at the Hope UK camp. Hope Germany is having theirs soon and I heard a large attendance is expected there. So, brothers and sisters, God is doing wonderful things.
Moving forward in Christ

I continually pray and commit each one of you to the Lord. I believe God will continue to strengthen you. God will continue to lift you up with the eagle’s wing where you will run and not be weary as well. I pray for God's covering to be over every one of us. I pray that God will be with you wherever you go; as Jesus says when announcing the Great Commission, "I am with you to the ends of the earth".

We are praying and believing for a wonderful quarter and second half of the year where we look forward to exciting things happening. God bless you. We look forward to communicating with you again next time round.
